French Woods Sports and Arts Center is America’s Top Teen-Only Summer Camp. The Camp is located in New York State only 2.5 hours from New York City.
French Woods Sports and Arts Center is one of a dozen coed sleep-away camps in the USA that are specifically for teenagers. Campers ages 12-17 have the option of an affordable 2, 4, 6, 8, or 10 week session. Our Campers come from all over the USA and abroad with a variety of interests.
Nestled comfortably on 200 pristine acres in the Catskill Mountains, French Woods Sports and Arts Center offers the perfect balance of Summer Camp in the mountains with clean living and modern facilities.
French Woods Sports and Arts Center has a fully elective program, which allows campers to choose from traditional and not-so-traditional summer camp activities. Exceptional programs are offered in Sports, Arts, Technology, Extreme Sports, Circus, Rock Music, Digital Music Production, Dance, Water Sports, DJ and Radio, Theater, Communications, Magic, Cooking, Role Playing Games, Gymnastics and Equestrian. All this and more rolled up together into one incredible Summer Camp experience!

International Campers
At French Woods Sports and Arts Center we are happy to accommodate International campers. We work with your family to make transportation to camp very easy and affordable. Our multi-lingual staff can assist with communication and completing forms required for camp. All campers are encouraged to speak english and quickly expand their vocabulary and comprehension of english words during their time at camp.
TRAVEL: Campers have the option to fly to Newark or JFK airports. We offer FREE airport transfers to and from camp. Our staff will meet each camper at the airport after they have cleared immigration and customs. Our staff will be wearing identification and a camp shirt. All parents are notified once the flight has arrived. The ride from the airport to camp is 2.5 hours. We always stop for refreshments and bathrooms.
All linens are provided. This includes blankets, sheets, pillow, washcloth, and towels. We also provide a weekly, free laundry service for personal clothing and linens.
NEW YORK CITY: An optional NYC sightseeing and shopping trip is offered to our campers that come from outside of the USA.
ENGLISH: ESL classes are taught by a qualified and experienced ESL teacher. There is no extra cost for English classes. Classes are small and fun with a strong emphasis on speaking and conversational English.
